Affordable Skincare Every Woman Needs

Hey guys! Welcome to another blog post where I tell you that you need something that will change your life.  Lol…

It always seems that way doesn’t it???  Today is a little bit of a different post featuring some of my favorite skin care products that I feel every woman needs.  I am in my 40’s now and I feel that skin care plays an important role in my life.

When they say things change after you turn 40 they really mean every word. Suddenly fine line start becoming more apparent your skin just looks drier + crepey and so you feel you need to up your game with your skin care.  Luckily there are brands who specialize in anti-aging skin care products and work wonders when using them over a long period of time. While it is a commitment you will see results as soon as one month and you’ll be convinced you are using the right product. Personally, I find medical grade skin care is the best way to go because it’s backed by science and I have seen more positive results with my skin in little to no time. #gamechanger.  If you are happy with what you are currently using and if its working well use it.  The main goal here is to obtain a good skincare regimen and be consistent.

The sooner you gain a good AM/PM  skin care routine using the best products you can for your budget the better off your skin will be in the long run. As the professionals say, “what you do today you’ll reap the benefits tomorrow, three months from now, 5 years down the road.” If you do not have a solid skin care routine start one today.

I understand medical grade + high end skin care products can be costly.  That’s why you’ll always hear aestheticians, dermatologist, or skin care specialists say that a good skin care routine is an investment – you are investing in yourself.  This used to sound so overwhelming especially when I didn’t make a lot of money but over time I realized that if you use the amount directed on the back of the bottles these products can last 3 to 6 easily.  And if you do the math the product isn’t really expensive – so don’t over pour + pump.

A system that worked well for me is adding a new skin care product every time I get a paycheck. This helps so much!!  Fills up my skincare drawer pretty quick and my skin never looked better.  Another quick tip,  feel free to rotate your skin care products and use other brands that will achieve the same result.  This will take a little bit of research on your part but once you figure it out it’s knowledge that will stay with you for a long time. And if you do have a passion for skin care and beauty it’ll be something fun to do.

Here are some of my favorite + more affordable products that I’ve recently added to my skin care drawer 👇🏼

Revisions Skincare is an amazing brand with its main focus being anti aging.  I’ve been really loving the RS Hydrating serum – its a mirror image to Skinceuticals HA Intensifier just a different brand – $11 difference.  They both work wonders for your skin as far a hydration goes.  It’s like your skin drank a 32oz glass of water.

I also love products that help the skin in other ways like added moisture + depuffing the eye area, and train the muscles in your face.  Clinique recently formulated a moisturizer that go to work for up to 100 hours, Clinique Moisture Surge 100H.  The older formula was productive up to 50 hours.  I really love it because it is not greasy and it absorbs into the skin so fast.  I typically use it in the PM and by AM my skin looks bouncy + hydrated.  I use this in conjunction with my PM skincare routine.  The Garnier under eye treatment is amazing for the AM or when you have allergies.  It quickly depuffs and makes your under eye area feel refreshed and ready to conquer the day.  It’s mostly a foundation for my under eye cream. Laneige Glowy Makeup Serum is another product I love using especially in the colder or more dry months.  It provides hydration and long lasting makeup wear.  You typically don’t hear of a product that can do both hydration + longevity wear of your makeup.  A great addition for sure!  The NuFace mini toning device works so well on the first use and will give you lasting results with consistent use over a 3 month time.  This is something you’ll have to try on your own if you haven’t already – you’ll be amazed!

iS Clinical active peel system is something I use at night and I skin on my normal PM skincare routine.  There’s something special about this duo especially when you are struggling with dry + dull skin.  After I apply both as directed my face feels a little tingly and so fresh.  I allow it to work its magic for about 15 minutes and then apply face oil and go to bed.  By morning my fine lines are minimized and the skin looks smooth + hydrated.  I definitely use a good SPF like Elta MD Elements or Revisions Skincare Intellishade SPF.  You’ll really love the active peel – and no there is no flaky peeling or layers of skin coming off.  It’s more like you won’t see peeling at all.  #glowyskingoals
