For a while now, I have been on the search for a good pair of shorts. I was looking for the perfect length (nothing shorter than 4″), a pair that won’t ride up as I’m walking, good color denim, some distressing for that edgy look that I love. I never knew how hard it was going to be to find cute shorts these days.
Why do shorts have to be so darn short these days???
Fashion is into making shorts that fit snug around the thighs, ugh…and super short you can see butt cheeks hanging out. Is this really necessary??? I’m a woman in her 40’s, I really don’t need to be putting my butt cheeks on display. I feel like a role model to my younger teenage daughters – I have to set the stage for what is appropriate. Yes??
The hunt begins…
As I searched the market and went into ALL the stores looking for these magical shorts, I finally found some. I’m excited to share these because they are affordable, come in a variety of washes, and hold to the standard of comfort that we all love. The denim is soft and buttery not hard + stiff. Some of them also have a small amount of stretch which is really nice. It’s just enough to add comfort without losing shape and looking like a dirty diaper (sagging in the butt area). You know what I mean??
