15 Easy Ways to Freshen Up Your Home for Spring

I’m not sure about you but I love giving my home a good refresh each season.  And I’m not talking about spending a lot of money to do this either.  You can easily work with the items you have in and around your home.  Maybe move an existing rug into a different room.  Or, taking out your faux flowers from last year and displaying them in and around your home??  I even have friends that hit up HomeGoods or Marshalls and find steals on new decor.  I guess where I’m getting at is that you don’t have to make a huge investment to make a big change.

For example, I change out pillows covers – you can easily use the same inserts.  Annnd you can find these on Amazon for less than $24 a pair check those out here.  So don’t forget to look at ALL of your options.  Bedding is another area that can instantly make a room feel fresh or different.  I typically go with darker tones during fall + winter and lighter colors for spring + summer.  Again, HomeGood, Target, and Wal-Mart are affordable places to find bedding.

In my home, I have a gallery wall of fun family photos in our formal living area.  A subtle change of swapping out the photos in the gallery frames is another idea.  With this in mind, I’m always taking photos of the family trying to catch the most natural + fun non-posed snaps.  I get compliments on this gallery wall all. the. time.  I often catch the kids looking at it too reminiscing of those fun times.

Going back to rugs, which is an amazing way to bring in a change of color!! It also helps to freshen up the air too as I feel rugs hold on to odors + traps in unwanted smells. Not a bad idea to change those out often.  Costco + Home Depot + Lowes is a great place to find inexpensive rugs that look great!  Some are stain-resistant + pet-friendly!

Let me share some of my favorite things I found while shopping around…which is your favorite?

With a little change in our homes, it can really change up the environment and make it more of a happy place to be.
