I’m a beauty junkie to the max and I love trying new things when they come out on the market. Sometimes I run across a few products that just didn’t work for me – other times I am so happy I can add a fabulous product to my collection.
Since the holidays, I wanted to switch some products out for new stuff. To be completely honest, I’ve been going back and forth with the idea of going clean with all of my beauty. I already do this with some of my body care + other things around our home. More and more of my friends swear that clean beauty performs very well. That is where I struggle, “is it going to last as long?” or “Is it going to have the same pigmentation?” Same questions you probably have too?.?.?
Although I am not fully committed to making the switch to clean beauty – I do want to share what I have discovered that has made me so excited to put makeup on again! These recommendations you may want to add to your makeup cube ASAP!
Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer is a must apply under foundation. It smooths out skin texture, gives a poreless look, absorbs shine, and helps your makeup stay all day long. I also love that it doesn’t make your skin feel dry like other primers. You’ll be so happy with the radiance that shows through like a glow from within. There are also other primers in this line that help with mattifying the skin as well as more hydration.
Dermablend Continuous Correction Tone Evening CC Cream SPF 50+ is so good if you are looking for coverage without the cakiness and added skincare benefits. My shade is 40N and I also have a darker one for when I get a sunless tan on my body. This CC cream is clinically tested to visibly improve skin’s radiance after 4 weeks. It helps with dark spots, hyperpigmentation, discoloration of any sort. It also has sun protection that protects against free radicals + signs of aging – without leaving a white cast. My favorite part is that it is formulated with anti-oxidants: baicalin, niacinamide, vitamin E, and caffeine. A total must-have!
Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Concealer works so well under the eye area. It covers, blends out beautifully, lasts all day long without creasing, and there are so many shades available for any skin tone. I use the color Sepia for reference. This is a weightless formula, does not contain alcohol, it’s also waterproof, and 16-hour wearing time. This is the only concealer I reach for as it performs just like it is marketed and I love a product you can trust 100%.
Fenty Beauty Slip Shine Sheer Lipstick is an amazing hybrid between a lip balm + lipstick. It feels so lightweight on the lips and the colors available are beautiful. The one pictured above is Cookies & Cocoa. It is a plum tone but in my opinion, it looks like your lip color enhanced. I reach for this constantly as it gives you just the right amount of color + hydration.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in color Bloom – a limited edition product. Bloom is a soft coral pink blush with an amazing color payoff. The tones in this blush will go with any skin tone and blends out nicely so there are no harsh lines. There are a variety of colors to choose from if bloom isn’t your flavor. This is going to be my go-to for while as it is perfect for the spring + summer seasons. Highly recommend!
