Animal Print High Waisted Swimsuits

I have a love for a good animal print swimsuit. Now that I’m in my 40’s I have found a new love for high-waisted anything. Not only is it comfortable it is also very flattering. Especially, if you have a lit belly that no matter what you do it never goes away. I have always had a muscular stomach but ever since I turned 40 it is so hard to maintain flat.

It’s so tricky when it comes to swimwear. In the world we live in today, everyone is all about their fitness and getting abs. It can be quite intimidating and when you are one of those people who has never had a problem keeping toned + trim…this can play with your head.

Growing up I was always into sports and running a lot. I’m that girl who turned down a full-ride scholarship to SFA for track + field to graduate early instead. Now, I have to work out extra-long and eat a certain way making sure it all fits into my macros. You can read about macros here.

Today, I’m sharing some swimwear that I’m packing on my next trip to the beach!! Yes, I’m hopeful that there will be a beach vacay in my near future, possibly in the summer. To help me decide on these pieces in particular here are the questions I asked myself:

Does it make me feel secure?
Does it make me feel pretty?
Is it a fun swimsuit or does it look frumpy?
Does it make me look like I’m trying to look like my teenage daughter?

I was also keeping in mind that I’m my own person with my own beautiful body with my own flaws so on and so forth…so I’m not going anywhere and envying anyone else’s body. If you think about it, everyone has flaws with their body – no one is perfect. We might think they are perfect – they might think you’re perfect. Do you see where I’m going here??? So my best advice which I’m hoping to take my own this year, be happy with what you have and work it!! Dress yourself up, make yourself feel pretty, put on that mascara, and just work with what God gave you. At the end of the day, confidence is what attracts people the most not matter if you’re looking for a man, a new friendship, or just trying to live your life.SHOP THIS POST
