I recently shopped at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and found a lot of basics that I need for the fall season. About a week before the sale started I did a complete clean sweep of my entire closet. I donated so many of my gently used belongings to a local charity in town – the things that were worn into the ground I tossed out. After I organized a few things I went ahead and made a list of the pieces I needed for fall. I actually look forward to doing it at the end of each season. It feels good to have a clean space and it makes me feel good knowing what I already have and what I need to replenish. This is where a good sale comes in handy, #nsale.
As a lifestyle blogger, it’s important for me to know all the ins + outs of this sale so I can then pass it along to my friends who follow all my social media platforms @ninamarieblogs . When I first started my blog it was all about sharing the things I love + sales too. This really gained people’s interest and providing them with a specific link to each item was a HUGE convenience as well. Easy breezy.
This year people have been commenting that the Nordstrom sale is a repeat of last year’s inventory. I really don’t mind it because I can replenish what I may have loved from the year before, amiright?. Although they do have repeats Nordstrom did feature some new items this year which was nice to see. One new item is the pair of mules I’m including in today’s post. They are comfy + come in three colors of which the camel is the one pictured below. The color of the REAL leather is perfect and in my opinion, a pair of mules is a closet staple in the fall.
Good Straight Raw Hem High Waist Straight Leg Jeans
Sizing: these high-waisted jeans have a little stretch to them which makes them so comfy. I would definitely size down one size if you’re in between sizes. I am normally a size 6 in Good American jeans and I sized down to a 4 for reference.
Quality: Good American has always been a closet staple since they started retailing at Nordstrom. The denim is super soft, the sizing is usually true to size, and the brand is size inclusive. That means they keep all body shapes + sizes in mind when creating their product.

Swiss Dot Lettuce Trim Crop Milkmaid Blouse
Sizing: I ordered my normal size medium and it fits like a dream. Unless you are larger in the chest area I would not size up or down. For reference, I am a bra size 34 C.
Quality: the top is see thru in the sleeves and is double lined in the chest area. I felt more confident wearing a bralette for extra coverage. All in all, it is a comfortable top with a feminine feel.
