Hey everyone!! We are quickly coming up to Thanksgiving week like tomorrow!! I can’t believe it’s here already. I know this year may not be like last year’s festivities due to the circumstances with RONA, but whether you’re celebrating with just a few family members or a group of 10, be as safe as you can – that is all we can do.
This year we are headed to Houston and having Thanksgiving dinner at my brother’s house. Their house is located on the outskirts of Houston in a sub-city called Rosharon (total countryside). It’s about a 45-minute drive from our hotel which isn’t bad at all. We usually stay in an Airbnb but this time were are trying our luck and staying in a nice hotel/suite in the city. I have always loved the energy of the city and the short walks to many different places for coffee, lunch, dinner, or shopping. It can be a lot of fun!
Since I moved to Florida, I’ve tried to keep in touch with my family as much as possible. The years go so fast, and by the time you know it the kids have school, jobs, cheerleading, volunteering commitments on top of all of our adult stuff and it makes it really challenging to travel. So when the holidays come around I get super excited to plan my trip to Texas to see all of my family. I’m thinking next year, they should plan a trip to Fort Myers. Yes???
For all of our supplies for any holiday, my family chooses Walmart as our go-to spot to shop. I love how Walmart has everything at your fingertips, organized in categories for each holiday, and so affordable. I mean c’mon, cranberry sauce, $1.50 + cornbread stuffing, $2.50!! You can’t beat those prices.
