Thanksgiving | Fun Hostess Gifts

Never show up empty-handed, it’s so nice to be invited to events, dinners, and special occasions all throughout the year, especially, during the holiday season.  However, there are so many people that show up empty-handed and that is not okay.  What you bring either as a gift or to contribute to the occasion is completely your decision.  If you’re bringing the hostess a gift keep in mind that it’s the thought that counts not the price tag.  I think that is where the stress comes into play, thinking we have to spend so much money on gifts.  I say gifts because if you’re anything like me, I get invites from our friends, family, and our work family too.  That can add up quickly so make them special in your own unique way.  You can achieve this by wrapping it super pretty or using sparkly tissue paper.  These items are sold in the dollar store never be ashamed of shopping these places to get the best bang for your buck.

I always gift things that I would want to receive myself.  I love candles, fun home items, potpourri, just to name a few.  If you are contributing to lunch/dinner or something like that I would definitely stick to a dessert from a local bakery or a nice wine of your choice.  Maybe going the extra mile and find out what the main entree is going to be served and select a wine that pairs well with poultry/meat/fish.

Today, I’m sharing a few fun + tasteful hostess gifts.  I know Thanksgiving is right around the corner so I thought this is a perfect time.  At the end of this post, I will share what I have already bought for my hostesses this year.

My Favorites:

❤️ The Trivet Runner: a brilliant idea and why didn’t I think about this?  You can run this across your table and not worry about scorching/ruining the top or finish.  I don’t really know anyone that wouldn’t benefit from this and there are several designs to choose from.

❤️ Wine Chiller, made using real marble and really does a great job of keeping wine at the right temperature.  It also has a little weight to it so it feels expensive even though it’s under $25.

❤️ Mark your cup, a fun idea and houses the cups + sharpie in such a cute way.  Everyone will want to participate and no one’s cup will be mistaken…also looks like it’s easy to store away till the next shindig.

This year we will be having Thanksgiving at my mother-in-law’s + my brother’s house on two different days – 2 different states.  I don’t know how people do multiple Thanksgivings all in one day, I commend them for that though.  If it were me, I would be the biggest roly-poly and they would have to roll me out of there. LOL.

My brother + sister n law collect crosses and have a wall gallery where they hang them.  This will make a nice addition to their fabulous collection.

My mother n law and her husband entertain like it’s going out of style – I think they’ll get good use out of this cheese board.
