Fall Outfit Ideas
It can be hard for some people to transition from season to season. A few years ago, I would think it was okay to go out and spend hundreds of dollars on revamping my closet for the next season. I later learned you don’t have to do all of that – you have to get creative and work with what you already have in your closet. I also know now the items that need to get a refresh or repurchase are staples like plain t-shirts or a pair of jeans or even a seasonal shoe that you wear on repeat.
Comfy Outfits are trending
When temperatures start to change and it gets colder outside I tend to sway more into loungy type of outfits. Anything basically that is going to feel comfortable and definitely something I feel good about. I always make sure I have a great pair of stretchy, distressed jeans, lounge pants, and leggings so I can style them with leggings and a blazer. I do work from home so I have to keep in mind those days I have Zoom meetings and need to look a bit elevated.
Neutral closet staples
Neutral clothing pieces will be your best friend each season. When you have a handful of neutral colors like black, tan, ivory, white, gray, and blush…you can build just about any kind of outfit you want. This is where t-shirts and oversized sweaters and even that tan blazer will make a great outfit any day of the week. Sometimes the most polished or elevated outfits are the ones with all neutrals.
This is a perfect example of how a neutral outfit looks. You’ll look put together and you’ll feel so comfortable especially when you pair it with your favorite white sneakers. These sneakers are from Amazon and they are very similar to the Golden Goose sneakers that cost $600 or more. My favorite part is the crochet top that has a flare sleeve and the texture adds character making it fun. Top | Under top | Lounge Pants | Sneakers | Similar Bucket Bag
Please don’t mind my white legs I ran out of tanning mousse – I need to get some ASAP!!!
Stipes is always a great styling tip when talking about a fall wardrobe. It can almost be considered a neutral basic in my opinion – what do you think??? I paired it with a high-rise denim skirt that is so flattering on anyone. It is true to size and has lots of stretch so comfort is not going to be an issue here. I think the cherry on top is the black loafer heels that are real leather and have a cushioned insole. I almost always go for a cushioned sole – I have high arches and this helps me so much especially since I’m on my feet a lot throughout the day. This is actually a set from Amazon and it is under $50. It is the softest set ever!! I am normally a size medium but ordered a small based on the reviews I read. The fit is great and you would probably mistake it for pajamas if you’re not careful, lol. It does come in a few other colors the last time I checked. All in all, this is a perfect set trending for the fall season. I paired it with these furry sandals that are very similar to Birkenstocks only more comfortable. The sandals also come in a variety of colors and are on sale right now, for $27. Lounge Set | Furry Sandals | Similar Bucket Bag
