Affordable Vacation Looks

Have you planned your summer vacation with your family yet or possibly going alone this year?? We have planned a couple of vacations and I’m super excited because this is the time I can unwind and actually put my phone down. If I put my phone down during the week or while I’m not on vacation there’s a sense of guilt that comes over me because as a blogger using my phone is a must. I know I’m not the only one out there…there are other jobs in which you use your phone a lot and it’s become a big issue. We can’t put our phones down!!!

During the year when there are no vacations, I try really hard to take the weekends off starting Friday night. At first, I thought this was gonna hurt my productivity on all my social media platforms but I found that when I came out of the “weekend break” I was renewed and ready to go. Most weeks I feel rejuvenated and more creative and so, therefore, I can perform better and create better content for you. When I didn’t take any time off and worked my butt off 7 days a week – I was so drained + was feeling so uncreative.

When I go on my vacation this summer, I want to unplug and totally feel guilt-free being off of my phone + being more present with my family. As I’m getting older I’m realizing the important things in life aren’t my Louis Vuitton handbags or my $600 Gucci sunglasses those are replaceable. The things that truly matter are my family and spending quality time + making good memories. I don’t mean to get all soft on you here but this is really what’s playing in my mind these days.

I’ll go ahead and give you a spoiler and let you know that our first trip this summer is to the Dominican Republic. It so hard keeping things a surprise and not telling you anything kills me inside. I’ve grown so close to you – you have become my friends on here + some of you I speak to every day!!
