A couple of weekends back I splurged on a few new items at Sephora. Lately, I’ve been trying not to be so spendy but it can be hard. Especially, when new launches are coming out every month. On two separate shopping trips, I actually found products that I really “needed” instead of buying just to buy. I get overwhelmed when I walk into a store like Ulta or Sephora and just buy things for the only reason, “I want it.” At the moment, it can feel exciting and satisfying, but later the feeling is more overwhelming and irresponsible. Can you relate to this? Keep track of your receipts for possible returns or exchanges. Yes?
Out of everything I picked up, I have to say I am most impressed by BareMinerals Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipcolor in JuJu. It doesn’t leave your lips feeling dry. You can actually carry on with your day and almost forget it is on your lips. Very comfortable. Another product that I found to be amazing is Laura Mercier Candleglow Sheer Perfecting Powder #2. It does a great job at setting your foundation! It leaves a blurred effect and makes your skin look flawless. Most of the time, I have an issue with setting powders leaving my skin dry and tight. This doesn’t do that at all. It also gives the skin a glow but without the glitter or shimmery particles. Just perfect. One of the last products I want to mention is Bite Beauty Lip Pencil #020. This lip pencil is in the nude family. It glides over your lips with ease and the consistency is lovely. The staying power is not bad as I can compare it to Mac’s lipliners.
Here are all of the products I mention in my video –
