Isn’t that what we all want? A lipstick color that suites us well without all the fuss of the hunt. If you’re anything like me and love beauty products, YouTube beauty videos, and MAC Cosmetics. You can understand that on occasion finding a lipstick is more than just liking the name of the color. Right? I know you do. To name a couple “SNOB” or “Creme Cup”. Those are adorable names for lip colors, but do not suite me well at all. They best for a more fair skin toned gal. As for me, those two colors wash out my skin tone, and make my lips look invisible. For those of you who can wear those colors – I’m jealous. Shine – Shine!
This morning as I was putting in my contacts, brushing my teeth, and getting the girls up for school. I thought it would be a great idea to put together a few lip products from MAC that would suite anyone, any skin tone, any teeth color (for you wine & coffee sippers). Yeah you know who you are. These are all beautiful and I don’t think the pictures do them justice here. I tried my best though. You have to swatch them in person, but this time it will be easy. You have a no-fuss list!! Here is what I came up with – Enjoy!
In no particular order.
1. MAC – Angel (Frost) $16.00
2. MAC – Peach Blossom (Cremesheen) $16.00
3. MAC – Bombshell (Frost) $16.00
4. MAC – Sandy B (Frost) $16.00
5. MAC – Love Lorn (Lustre) $16.00
6. MAC – Viva Glam V (Lustre) $16.00
7. MAC – Revved Up Patent Polish Lip Pencil $20.00
Here are some swatches…I put them on paper because my arm never photographs well with swatches. Just a heads up!
I had to include MAC’s Revved Up Patent Polish Lip Pencil because it is truly an amazing color. It is also very moisturizing and compliments any skin tone. It may not be offered at the MAC counters anymore because it was included as part of the Kelly Osbourne collection a while ago. I have linked it to Amazon but it was a little pricey $39.95. Here is another color I recommend that will compliment any skin tone too here (Hopelessly Devoted) from the same line.
I hope this has been helpful. I know how I felt when I first stepped foot into a MAC store. I was nervous, intimidated, and overwhelmed with all the pretty colors, and palettes, etc… It took me a while to get the hang of it all, and familiarize myself with the whole process. I have to say it feels good to have learned so much looking back at my journey.
I would love to hear about your favorite lip colors or what lip colors you think are versatile from any brand. Thanks for stopping by. I have to get back to E!News reporting on NYFW.(New York Fashion Week). I hope to be attending next year. HAVE AN AMAZING DAY!!!
