We all have them folks. In the beauty world, we refer the feeling of blah to “yucky” days. If only we could drive ourselves to our trusty dermatologist’s office for an IPL treatment. It wouldn’t be the same if we called it… well…I’m not going to go on…on…on… All I know, when I feel like my day isn’t just like I imagined it to be (high expectations?) I like to try to turn things around ASAP. As you may already know there are many wonderful beauty products that can play a placebo affect. In my opinion, there are only a few beauty products out there that really make the miracles happen.
I have had my long journey of trial & error with all beauty. This is what I’ve wrangled up as my favorites to help me get out of the funk – for lack of better terms. At least till I can save up enough funds for an IPL treatment. You can check that out here if you’re curious at to what it is.
First thing of course, remove all that makeup! I like to keep it affordable and use what works really nicely with my skin type. That being said, it doesn’t have to be fancy y’all. Currently, I am loving Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Foaming Scrub $8.79. This cleanser is quite a pore opener. You can feel the tingly sensation all over your skin making it feel cleaner than usual. Without stripping your face of all of its oils. After the face cleansing, I like applying a youth mud mask by Glam Glow $19 (travel size – great for a trial basis). This specific 10 minute mud mask tingles while on the skin stimulating the collagen production and helps brighten the skin too. The mask then turns into an exfoliant extracting all of your dead skin cells for a youthful skin appearance. An alternative exfoliator that is amazing is Vitamin C Microdermabrasion $25 found at The Body Shop. You can also leave this on the skin for 10-15 minutes and it has the similar benefits as the youthful mud mask without the tingle.
When that is all said and done, I use the Vitamin C Energising Face Spritz $18. This can also be used as a toner if you’re a toner kind of gal. Lastly, I go in and apply my favorite eye cream by First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Triple Remedy $36. This does an amazing job at de-puffing & smoothing the under eye area. I also add my favorite moisturizer, First Aid Beauty Daily Moisturizer $20. On the days where I don’t want to be greasy this works perfectly. As it is a light-weight moisturizer, ideal for hot climates and humid days.
I end with a nice hand moisturizer of choice – I recommend this one! You’re good to go. Say good bye to that “YUCKY” day.
I’d love to hear about the products you use to make yourself feel great on those oh so called blah days.
